Load bearing structure is a structural construction system in which is bearing wall are the major load-carrying element in the structure. Wall carries the structural load and transfers to the foundation. there is no provision of beams and column as in the case of the frame structure.

The load-bearing structure or building is that the structural system where a lot of buildings just like the weight of the building itself and therefore the live loads get transferred to the subsoil foundation through walls and this structure make sure the performance and stability of the building.

A load-bearing structure takes and transmits the load to the subsoil foundation safely and may be a component of a building. Walls resists the self-weight of building or structure, the load of roofs, and floor.

In this structural system, the foremost constructive use of load-bearing is seen, and it performs a variety of functions from supporting loads, subdividing the space, providing thermal and acoustic insulation to structure, etc.

In a load bearing structure, you can’t punch holes during a wall to attach two rooms — you’d damage the structure if you probably did so.
The immense weight of the walls helps to carry the building together and stabilize it against external forces like wind and earthquake.
